Nannie Elizabeth Pope, 77, 6540 N US 421 Hwy, passed away Friday, July 1, at Southwood Nursing Center.
A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Tuesday, July 5th at Owen Grove PFWB Church with the Reverend Kim Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Nannie, born in Sampson County in 1938, was the daughter of the late Ulysses Williams and Lillie Belle Smith Williams. She was a teller at First Citizens and Southern Bank, and a customer representative for H & R Block. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Pope, and brothers, Robert Williams, Earl Williams and Johnny Williams.
She is survived by daughters, Patti Pope DeCorte and husband Rod of Manassas, VA and Kim Pope Herring and husband Erick of Salemburg; grandchildren, James DeCorte, Elizabeth DeCorte, Morgan Herring, Ethan Herring; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Monday, July 4th at Owen Grove PFWB Church and at other times at home.
