Robert Fisher Jackson, 80, of 1494 Feed Mill Road, passed away at his home, Monday, February 20, 2017. 

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend W. H. Calcutt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Harnett Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Robert, born in Cumberland County in 1936, was the son of the late Handy Dewey Jackson and Mary Lois Fisher Jackson.  He was a former owner of Jackson Dairy Supplies and Midway Catering Service and attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise J. Wilks and brother, Wilbur “Sam” Jackson. 

He was survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Betty Hawley Jackson; daughter,  Dawn Jackson Wilkes and husband Clark of Plainview; son-in-law, DeLeon Wilks; grandchildren, Jonathan Wilks, Cameron Wilks, Paige Wilkes and Maegan Wilkes.

The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. – 2:45 P.M., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 prior to the service at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
