Rebecca Evangeline Royal, 86, of 120 Southwood Drive (formerly of 907 Nicholson Street) passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at Mary Gran Nursing Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11 A. M., Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Clinton City Cemetery with the Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.

Rebecca, born in 1930 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Erskie Prentis Royal and Nellie Wenly Royal.  She attended Highsmith Rainey Nursing  School and worked as a nurse with Hamilton Beach and later with Rohm and Hass.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton.
