Morris Boney Malpass, 82, of 464 Pearson Rd., passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 25, at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, May 27, in the Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. 

Morris, born in 1934 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Obie Francis Malpass and Vida Lee Boney Malpass and was the widower of Alice Lockamy Malpass. He was also preceded in death by a brother Arlen Ray Malpass and sister, Betty Ann Malpass. Morris was a veteran of the US Army, a life time member of the VFW and owned and operated a construction business.  He was the founder, president and hunt master of Crane Creek Hunting Club.

He is survived by four children; Rhonda Sue Blackman (Gary) of Newton Grove, Randy Malpass (Tracy Bass), Regina Van Gorder (Mark Bryan) and Ryan Malpass (Sharry) all of Clinton, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and a sister Margaret Jo Smith of Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 701 Rowan Road, Clinton, NC  28328.
