Not only was Hubert Hall my greatest uncle, but he was a friend. Over the course of his lifetime, Hubert and I converse into a world of close friendship. Countless time we went to so many different places to enjoy the many sites: State Fair, Museums, Home coming at various churches, Fishing, to see relatives living and at funerals, etc.. Hubert was someone that I could talk to about personal things and he was always eager to voice his advice. If there was way that he could help out in any ways, he would be there to lend not only a ear but in other ways too. My dad and Hubert share a bond together that lasted their whole lifetime. They were very closely bonded by their devotion to their mom and dad. Hubert and Dad love to spend time together. I would take them to all there needed weekly trips. Usually we would drop by for many games of pool. Although there was no gambling, but they would play very competitive. After my dad past away, our friendship bond still continue. We would call and talk to one another several times a week. When Hubert health was getting to the point that he needed some personal care, Jeff was there to help him out. I knew that I could not help Hubert with all of his personal and health needs, when it was hard enough to take care of myself because of health issues, so we are proud for Jeff to have provided the care that he needed. I will always have Hubert in my thoughts and prayers, and he will be miss greatly.
For Jeff and his family, I am regret that I will not be able to attend his service today due to my health conditions. It is very hard for me to go anywhere outside my house without help to travel. I felt that I would place a burden upon anyone for help to go to his funeral. I don't have anyone that I could ask to help. But rest assure, this day will not be forgotten from my heart and prayers.

We knew, hubert just wasn't able to go, it had been tough for him to get around and he tired so easily. But he always talked about school and kept a picture of the graduating class near his bed.

Uncle Hubert, we really miss you. Your life had such great purpose. You were my Dad’s chosen brother. Dad was indebted to you…perhaps because of your relentless care for Grandpa and Grandma Hall. You took a second seat so that others’ needs were met. You are truly loved and a great example of selflessness….you were there when the old folks needed you, and when young children needed you as well. You were very special to my Dad! He loved playing pool with you and Howard….even though you would get extremely irritated when you lost. And Horseshoes. ...you, Dad, Howard and Alton were so competitive. You were not a good loser (or so they say). Uncle Hubert, you have many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will always treasure your memory. You are not alone! May heaven welcome your soul and send a signal to all of us who care that you are eternally “OK”. You were, and will always be, our favorite Uncle.
