Doris J. Lambeth Warren, 73, of 1770 Straw Pond School Road, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at her home.

Funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Mt. Elam Baptist Church in Roseboro, with the Reverend Brandon Glunt officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M., prior to the service at the church and at other times at the home of her son, William, at 1830 Straw Pond School Road, Roseboro, NC.

Doris, born in High Point in 1943, was the daughter of the late Eugene Lambeth and

Vera Staton Lambeth.  She was a supervisor with Sampson County Schools, counselor with Fayetteville Technical College and a former Sampson County School Board Member.  In addition she was a member of Mt. Elam Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by a grandchild. 

Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Houston Butler Warren; sons, William Houston Warren, James O’Tuel Warren and Louis Langdon Warren; nephew, William Lambeth; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
