Lucinda Hairr Brewer, 82, of 120 Southwood Drive, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Mary Gran Nursing Center. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Faison with the Reverend Eddie Smith and Reverend Dr. Gary Threatt officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Lucinda, born in 1934 in Sampson County was the daughter of the late Clifton Hairr and Myrtle Holland Hairr.  She was also the widow of the late J. O. Brewer.  She worked in the grocery business with the Colonial Store, Big Star and Piggy Wiggly.  In addition she was preceded in death by a brother, R. C. Hairr.

Survivors include son; Joey Brewer and wife Jane; daughter, Charlotte Sessoms; grandchildren, Jason Brewer, Amanda S. Lockamy and husband Hardy,  Allen Michael Sessoms and wife Marilyn, Regina Sessoms; great-grandchildren; Ethan, Jacob, Aaron, Gerald, Skylar, Kiera and Devin;  sister, Betty H. Hairr;  and sister-in-law, Glenda H. Herring.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M., Tuesday, October 5, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 118 Fayetteville St., Clinton, NC  28328 and at other times at the home of her son, 112 Colonial Drive, Clinton, NC  28328.
