Jessie Lee Branch, Sr., 80, of 2357 Peavine Road, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with the Reverend Donald Massey and Reverend John Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Jessie, born in 1935 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Tommy Branch and Sarah Eliza Burgett Branch.  He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and worked previously in the well drilling business.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul Branch and Arthur Branch and sister, Merlene Bowdings.

He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Betty Jane Bass Branch;  sons, Jesse Lee Branch, Jr. and wife Lori of Clinton, Larry Lee Branch and wife Jodie of Salemburg, and Ricky C. Branch of Clinton; and step-grandchildren, Mary-Catheryn Batten and Logan Batten.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M., Friday, June 10, 2016 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
