Harold Gene Brewington, “Stringbean”, of 507 E Dogwood Lane, passed away Saturday, April 23, at the Transitions Hospice Care in Raleigh.

A funeral will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, April 27, at the East Carolina Holiness Church with the Reverend Rod Carpentery and Reverend James Brewington officiating.  Interment will be in the Alphin Cemetery in Dunn, NC.

Harold, born in 1955 to the late Paul Freeman Brewington and Gearldine Ammons Brewington, was a truck driver for Day Break Express and attended East Carolina Holiness Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his children, Shenita Ann Brewington and Michael Douglas Brewington.

Survivors are;  wife Deborah Leigh Fillmore Brewington; children, David Paul Brewington, Jerel Lee Brewington and Michael Shane Fillmore; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Larry Douglas Brewington and Tammy, James Howard Brewington and Cindy, Linda Rose Brewington, Juanita Ann Brewington, William Allen Brewington and Stella, Gloria Sue Brewington; and numerous trucking friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Tuesday, April 26 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 118 Fayetteville St., Clinton, NC  28328 and at other times at the home of Sue Brewington, 93 Tarheel Drive, Clinton, NC  28328.
