Wilma Jean Wise Jones, 86, of 517 King Road, passed peacefully away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center with her family members by her side.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 24th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley King officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.   Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Wilma was born June 11, 1936 in Cumberland County and was the daughter of the late Ira Franklin Wise and Dorothy Melva Kirby Wise.  She was assistant manager at Sears and a secretary with Lundy Packing Company.  Wilma was a member of St. Matthews Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was in the Women’s Auxiliary and the Church Secretary.  Other duties at the church included playing the organ and piano for 45 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Cleveland Jones and her brother Louis Wise.

Survivors include; sons, Eric (Sheron), Timmy (Melody), Terry (Brenda) all of Clinton, and Kevin (Jennifer) of Durham; granddaughters, Erica Beasley, Amanda Raynor, and Kelly Fields; grandsons, Aaron Jones and Matthew Jones; great-grandsons, Jackson, Brooks, and Mary Tilman Beasley; brothers, Billy Wise and Wallace Wise; and sisters Melva Daughtry, Rebecca Smith and Sandra Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC  27530.
