William Ray Hobbs, 56, of 2445 Tew Road, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Grace Tree Church in Autryville with Reverend Allen West officiating.  Interment will be in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Clinton.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Ray, was born February 9, 1966 in Wake County.  He was the son of the late William Franklin Hobbs and Evelyn Faye Hope Hobbs.  He was a truck driver for Foodlion for over 28 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Hobbs.

Survivors include: wife, Beverly Jeanne McLamb Hobbs; children, William Jamie Hobbs of the home and William Everette Hobbs of the home; brothers, Michael Hobbs (Valerie) of Fuquay and Chris Hobbs (Briana – friend) of Stedman; In-laws, Karen and Tim McLamb from Godwin; three nieces; aunt, Ann Hope; numerous cousins, friends, Foodlion truck drivers and co-workers.
