Today God gained a great Angel, loving husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and cousin. William Bernice Anders, 84, of 1377 W Darden Road, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Southwood Nursing Center. He served his life helping others and being a dedicated Christian. He retired from NC Hwy Department. He also served as a volunteer for Piney Grove Fire Department and was a member of Carr Memorial Christian Church.
Graveside service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, November 19th at Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Chris Butler officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the grave and at other times at the home of his daughter, Kaye, at 287 Hitching Post Road, Roseboro.
He was preceded in death by; parents, William Bryant Anders and Irene Aman Anders; wives, Orma Mae Anders and Annette Brooks Anders; brothers, Dennis Anders and Wayne Anders; and, brother-in-law, Arie Bradshaw and two sister-in-law's Janice Anders and Alice Anders .
Survivors include; daughter, Kaye Sessoms and husband Walter; step-son, Les Brooks and wife Angie; two of his greatest joys of his life, grandchildren, Will Sessoms and wife Shannon and Jamison Sessoms and friend Josh Rochelle; brother, Joe Anders of Clinton; sisters, Lib Bradshaw of Faison, Cat Lee (C. H.) of Newton Grove, Linda Faircloth (Charles) of Roseboro; sister-in-law, Mary Anders of Turkey; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
