Willa Fussell Rogers Lane, 90, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, July 9th at Evergreen Baptist Church in Rose Hill, NC, with Rev. Lisa Grissom officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Willa, born July 14, 1932 in Duplin County, was the daughter of the late Fred Yates Rogers and Mary Jane Fussell Rogers.  She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She loved her vegetable and flower garden and canning vegetables.  She took pride in overseeing the communion service at the church she loved.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Madison Whitehurst Lane, Jr.

Survivors include: daughters, Kay Lane Spearman (James), Rita Lane Arnette (Barry), and Michelle Lane Stanley (fiancé Brian Neuhardt); sisters, Margaret Bass, Dorothy Carr and Gayle Matthews; grandchildren, James Christopher Spearman (Brandy),  Heather Kay Carter (Clay), Barrett Whitehurst Spearman (Molly), Jennifer Lindsay Hedrick (Chase), Walter Layne Stanley, Lisa Nicole Stanley, and Lauren Elizabeth Stanley; and great-grandchildren, Madison Reece Hawkins, Kipp Alderman Hawkins, Brinkley Dey Spearman. Briley Rey Spearmen, Mason James Spearman and Harper Emily Spearman and Lennox Tate Hedrick.
