Odis Wayne Sutton, 64, of 3815 Suttontown Rd., passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, May 5th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn McCullen and Rev. Ken White officiating.  Interment with full EMS honors will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2 PM – 3PM, just before the service at the funeral home.

Wayne, born May 29, 1956 in Wayne County, was the son of the late Odis Ray Sutton and Edna Earl Britt Sutton.  He was a truck driver with Salem Transportation.  Wayne graduated from Hobbton High School  class of 1974.  He was the former “ Mayor of Suttontown” and was a member of Suttontown Rescue for over 20 years.

Survivors include: wife of 21 years, Diane Southerland Sutton; children, Jennifer Britt (Jamie) of Faison, Heather Lockamy (Bobby Joe) of Clinton, Tart Sutton of Georgia and Haley Sutton of Clinton; grandchildren, Hailey Lockamy, Allyssa Britt, Dalton Britt, Dakota Britt, Alexia Lockamy and Taylor Lockamy; sister, Brenda Carpenter (Frank) of Fayetteville; brother, Arnold Sutton (Tina) of Princeton; brother-in-law, Donnie Southerland of Clinton; and many other family members and friends.
