Walter Conway Walls, 91, of 396 Malpass Corner Road, Burgaw, formerly of Sampson County, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington.

A graveside service will be Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2 PM, at Rowan Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clay Carter, officiating. 

Mr. Walls was born in Virginia on April 15, 1934, to the late Henry Percy Walls and Bessie Mallory Walls.  At the age of 16, he started making custom cabinets and continued in the cabinet making business all of his life.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 74 years, Susan Bass Walls, his daughter, Connie Leigh Trusler, a son, Walter C. Walls, Jr., Grandchildren, Emilea Norris, Lisa Marie Wold, Amie Leigh Pickett; 6 Great Grandchildren and Violet, his Yorkie.
