Vivian Marie Chappell, 88, of 601 Fairfax Street, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at The Magnolia.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, November 7th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Cameron Dunn officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the graveside.

Vivian, born May 8, 1934 in Chowan County, was the daughter of the late Jesse James Alexander and Dora Pritchett Alexander.  She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and worked as a telephone operator and a homemaker. 

Survivors include; husband of 66 years, Arthur Riddick Chappell, Jr.; children, Linda Chappell Whitley and Deborah Chappel McAvoy; grandchildren, Jennifer Whitley Pereira, Sarah Whitley Slaczka and William Chappell Whitley; and 7 great grandchildren, Luke, Emily, Harrison, Jackson, Whitley, Sutton and Sawyer.
