Victor Wayne Jackson, 77, of 100 Tanglewood Lane, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Thursday, September 11th at Keener Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. There will be a visitation held from 6 PM – 8 PM, Wednesday, September 10th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Casey Avery, at 2404 King Road, Clinton.
Wayne, born June 1, 1948, in Sampson County, was the son of the late Garnie Braston Jackson and Nellie Lee Marler Jackson. He retired from NC Department of Transportation and was a retired sales representative for Hog Slat.
Wayne will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose greatest joy was found in the love of his family and simple pleasures of life. He worked hard, lived with integrity and cherished the time spent with those closest to him. He also carried a lifelong appreciation for classic cars, particularly the Corvette.
He is survived by his daughter Casey J. Avery and husband Johnathan, granddaughter Mady Kendall Avery, grandson Cooper Jackson Avery, and sisters Melinda Jackson Betts and Glenda Blackmon.
