Vernon Arnold Warner, 76, of 3971 Boykin Bridge Road, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.


Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, May 30th at Coharie Christian Center with Pastor Bill Chaney and Pastor Eartle McNeill officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Entombment will be held at a later date in the Warner Family Cemetery.


Vernon, born March 12, 1950 in Kansas, was the son of the late Melvin Arnold Warner and Blanche MacLavin Warner.  He was a Radar Technician in the US Navy.  Vernon was a member of the VFW American Legion, worked with Employment Security Commission and taught Math and Science at several community colleges. 


Survivors include: son, Vernon David Warner (Diana Michelle); daughter, Tammi Leigh Ann Wiggs; grandchildren, Joshua Allen Jackson, Anglina Dee Croom (Lane McDonald), Savannah Paige Jackson, and Dani Michelle Potter; great-grandchild, Alyssa Dee Croom-McDonald; brother-in-arms, Frank White (Jody); and sisters, Mary Ann Grether and Jean Ringenberg.
