Tony Gaine Trogdon, 81, of 839 Beaver Dam Road, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his home.

A funeral will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, February 17th at Owen Grove PFWB Church with the Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan and Rev. Randy Carter officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home.  Interment will be private.

Tony, born September 6, 1939 in Cumberland County, was the son of the late James Harvey Trogdon and Euvalda Faircloth Trogdon.  He graduated from Hope Mills High School in 1957 and attended Holmes School of the Bible in Greenville, SC.  Tony became an ordained minister in 1961 with the Pentecostal Holiness Church denomination where he served for 10 years.  He transferred to the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church denomination in 1971.  As of 2021, he had served 50 years in the PFWB denomination.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Euvalda Trogdon and his son, Tyrone Keith Trogdon. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ida Lane McMillian Trogdon, his son, Ashley Lynn Trogdon (Leah), his daughter, Sherry Trogdon Reeves (Ron), seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister, Elaine T. Jackson (Paul), brothers, James Trogdon, and Rudy Trogdon (Nadine). 

Brother Tony was a faithful servant of the Lord who had many, many wonderful friends.  He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
