Thurston Julius Jackson, 71, of 207 Ned Cottle Lane, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, July 19th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove, with Rev. Chris Leak officiating. Thurston, born in 1948 in Wayne County, was the son of the late Roy Jackson and Irene Lewis Jackson. He attended North Carolina State University and ​proudly owned and operated Circle J Produce, ​Inc. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son- Chad Jackson and siblings- Jimmy Jackson, Myrtle Giddens and Clara Britt. Survivors include sister- Betty Lou Froehlich, brother- Shelton Jackson, Daughter- Kelsey Jackson and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Newton Grove United Methodist Church, 133 S Church Street, Newton Grove, NC 28366.
