Steven Myers Batts

Steven Myers Batts, 32, of 300 Houses Mill Rd. Newton Grove, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 of natural causes.

Steven was born September 11, 1990, the second child of Deborah Jane Myers Batts and Timothy Wade Batts.

Steven graduated from Hobbton High School class of 2008 and was a member of the Hobbton Wildcats marching band.  He was employed as a herdsman at Smithfield Foods. 

He loved to fish and enjoyed the outdoors. He cherished time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and hanging out at the home of his cousin Michael. Known for his kindness, Steven was a friend to everyone he knew and gave a helping hand to anyone in need. 

Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jimmy and Frances Myers, his paternal grandparents Paul and Irene Batts. 

And his sister-in-law Denise Williams.

Steven is survived by, his mother Jane, father Timmy (Robin) 

4 brothers, Aaron (Elizabeth) Aidan, Cheyenne , Ashlee. Paul (Rachael) Williams Amara, Scarlett, Jude

Samuel Williams, John (Brooke) Williams Avery, Charlie

1 sister Kayla Williams 

 And a very special cousin Michael

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Owen Grove PFWB Church.

The family will receive visitors at 6:00 pm at the church.
