Sonja Faye Corbett Justice, 84, 86 Byrd Yancy Road, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at her home.

Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, January 2nd at Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Danny Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the graveside.

Sonja, born August 30, 1938 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Norman Lee Corbett and Lizzie Pearl Johnson Corbett.  She was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “R. C.” Justice, Jr.  and brother, N. L. Corbett.

Survivors include: daughter, Janet Justice Tart and husband Clark; son, Steve Justice and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Kristy Tart-Bryan (Adam), Nikki Tart Brown (David), Beth Mayer-Salman (Joseph), Spencer Tart (Lauren), Robert Justice (Jena), and Amanda Justice Hurley (Dexter); 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry Corbett and Charles Corbett; and fur baby and constant companion, Pennie Mae.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sampson County Animal Shelter, 168 Agriculture Place, Clinton, NC  28328.
