Sonia Mercedes McCombs of 217 W Chelly St., Warsaw, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 30,2025, at the UNC Hospice Home in Pittsboro, NC.

Memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 7th at Clinton Family Worship Center with Pastor Lynn Blackburn officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church.

Sonia was born June 24, 1962, in the Dominican Republic to Danilo Marty and the late Sonia Brea Marty and is survived by her husband, Anthony Lee McCombs.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Danilo Marty.   Sonia retired from the state of New Jersey where she worked with the Social Services Department.  She was a member of Clinton Family Worship Center.

In addition to her husband, Anthony, she is survived by 2 children, Jose A. Lora and Danilo G. Lora, 5 Grandchildren and her sister Margarita Monserrat.
