Shelby Jean Jackson Melton, 60, of 709 Pearson Rd., passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Tuesday at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Price and Rev. Tyler Jernigan officiating.  Interment will follow in the Beulah Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM – 8 PM, Monday, July 15th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Casey Hobbs, at 1230 Panhandle Road, Faison.

Shelby, born August 15, 1963 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Kenneth Earl Jackson and Betty Carolyn Jones Jackson.  She previously worked in the healthcare industry as a dialysis technician.  Shelby was a member of  Bethesda Assembly of God Church. 

Survivors include: mother, Betty Carolyn Jones Jackson; husband, Carson Melton; daughters, Christy Taylor (Michael) and Casey Hobbs; grandchildren, Emily Taylor, Skyler Jones, Aalyiah Hobbs; brother, Tim Jackson (Missy); nephew, Marcus Jackson;  step-son, Michael Melton; and step-daughter, Tina Melton .

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home to offset funeral cost.
