Sandra West Stafford, 74, of 608 W Elizabeth Street, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at her home.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, September 13th at Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clay Carter and Rev. E. C. Mattocks officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the graveside.
Sandra, born July 12, 1950 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Charles Lacy West and Mable Irene Lucas West. She was a social worker for the County of Sampson. Sandra was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles “Lea” Stafford.
Survivors include: husband of 55 years, Melvin Stafford; daughter, Beth Stafford Beasley and husband Jamie; grandsons, Peyton Lea Beasley and Landry Lucas Beasley; sisters, Pat Denton and Betty Fortner; and faithful family friend, Ray Herring.
The family would like to thank the staff of Liberty Hospice and especially to Edna and Vanessa for their love and support during this difficult time.
