Miss Ruby Annette Brewington, 66, of Wake Forest, North Carolina, transitioned to her Heavenly Home in the early morning of Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14, 2023.  Annette was born on August 07, 1956, in Clinton, North Carolina, to the late Tony Avan and Eloise Simmons Brewington.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, February 16th at Holly Grove Holiness Church with Rev. Randy Simmons, Rev. Eddie Smith and Rev. Ricky Jacobs officiating.  Interment will follow in the old Holly Grove Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 PM – 2:30 PM just before the service at the church and at other times at the home of Carol Vann, 2069 Beamon Woods Road, Clinton, NC.

Annette graduated from Clinton High School and later pursued a career in retail, taking her around North Carolina to New Hanover, Johnston, and Wake Counties.  After she retired from Lowes Foods, she made her home in Franklin County.  Annette was an avid animal lover and activist.  Above all, she loved God and her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Avan Brewington, Carl Burtis Brewington, Curtis Linwood Brewington, and Genford Ray Brewington, Sr., sister Lillie Christine Jacobs, and Fur babies Tori and Nelly.

Annette is survived by beloved fur baby Duchess; sisters Marie Faircloth of Clinton, Rebecca Maynor of Fayetteville, Carol Vann of Clinton; brother James Arthur Brewington of Clinton; bonus family Mary, Bernard, Bernard Jr., and Samantha Levingston; nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
