Ruby Elizabeth Myers, 86, of 6962 Garland Hwy., passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Crumpler Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Carter and Rev. Edward Dowd officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at her home.
Ruby, born July 14, 1938 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Walter “Dick” James Hope and Katie Lou Turner. She worked as a machine operator in the textile industry. She was a member of United Christian Fellowship of Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Frances Butler, James Hope, Louise Benton and Sam Hope.
Survivors include: children, Evelyn Canady (David), Ricky Myers (Jane) and Sandra Polk (Darin); sisters, Alice Puryear and Gail Carter; grandchildren, Shannon Barber, Jamie Myers, Elizabeth Murphy, Samantha Wilhoit, Justin Polk, Matthew Polk, Chris Williams and Will Canady; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lila Hope and Lois Hope; and a host of special nieces and nephews.
