Rose Evelyn Sinclair Hales, 87, of 3725 Governor Moore Road, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at her home.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, May 10th at the Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. E. C. Mattocks officiating. The family will receive friends after the graveside service and at other times at the home.
Rose Evelyn, born June 16, 1933 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Lyde Graham Sinclair and Carnie Dale Darden Sinclair. She retired from the lunch room at Hargrove Elementary School and also was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Hales.
Survivors include children; Ray Hales and wife Sylvia of Clinton, Carolyn Strickland and husband Stanley of Clinton, Mary Sue Lee and husband Festus of Clinton, Graham Kent Hales of Clinton, April Ann Jordan and husband Jeffrey of Clinton; grandchildren, Randy Hales, Allen Hales, Brian Hales, Kevin Strickland, Carlena Marks, Jennifer Danks, Wayne Lee, Charles Jordan, Carrie Jordan; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Sue Parker of Faison.
