Robert Hanson Herring, 67, of 9161 N Salemburg Hwy, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, May 20th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Pastor Myron I. Simmons officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Robert, born April 9, 1956 in Sampson County,  was the son of  Helen Naylor Herring and the late Robert Thedie Herring.  He was a lifelong farmer and loved fishing and running dogs.

Survivors include; wife, Toni Britt Herring; sons, Joseph Mack Herring and wife Chelsea, Tyler Autry Herring and fiancé Chloe Brummitt, and Benjamin Simmons, III and wife Tonya; grandchildren, Josie Brooke Herring, David Mack Herring, Benjamin Simmons, IV,  and wife Karina, Dylan Simmons, Nathanael Simmons, and Olivia Simmons; great-grandchildren, Phoebe Lynn Simmons and Eleanor Diane Simmons; brothers, Bryant Herring and wife Debby and Jeff Herring and wife Carolyn; sister, Mac Howington and husband Rick; and several nieces and nephews.
