Rex Brown, 47, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020.
Rex, born on January 8, 1973 in Fayetteville NC, was the son of Lloyd George Brown and Betty Jo Stoneman Brown. He graduated from Madison County High School in GA and attended Abraham Baldwin Agriculture College in GA. Rex worked with the NC Forestry Service at one time and was a commercial salmon fisherman.
Rex was a true outdoorsman and what a storyteller. His adventures in Alaska while commercial fishing and guiding made for exciting tales. All were true and with pictures for proof. The friendships that were established while there and the experiences were book worthy. His love of hunting continued when he returned back home to NC. Rex loved people and was such an easy going soul he made friends very easily. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include: parents, George and Betty Jo Brown; brother, Gordon Brown and wife Jassi; niece, Taylor and friend, Price Davis; nephew, Brandon Brown and wife Andie; partner, Michelle Herring; and loyal-to-the end companion, Poncho.
