Rebecca Jean Ward, 75, of Turkey, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital.

Funeral service was held at 11 AM, Friday, April 30th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Father John Williams and Rev. Tim Gore officiating.  Interment  followed in the Ward Family Cemetery.

Rebecca, born November 4, 1945 in Duplin County, was the daughter of the late Norman Ezzell and Mattie Ophelia Hairr Ezzell.  She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Kenneth Ward, son Charles Ward and brothers Steven Ezzell, Tommy Ezzell and Burgess Ezzell and great-granddaughter, Madison Ann Ward.

Survivors include: children, Chris Ward and wife Denise, Mark Ward, Karen Taylor and husband Johnny and Sherry Ward; grandchildren, Jr. Ward, Kim Legette (Donald), Jordan Ward, Evan Ward, Robert Ward, John Ward, Daniel Ward, Jonathan Ward (Tracy),  Allen Williams (Jillian) and Samantha Nethercutt (James) Laura Ward; numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Doris Southerland, Angie Blake, Dennis Ezzell, Pa Ezzell and Dwight Ezzell.
