Peggy Ann (Toney) Davis

Clinton, Peggy Ann Toney Davis, 69, of 306 Pineview Road, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Tuesday, January 11th at Clinton Community Church with Pastor Dwayne Dunning, Rev. David Pearce and Ron Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at 6pm prior to the service at the church.

Peggy was born September 28, 1952 in Robeson County. She was the daughter of the late Myrtle Carter Toney. She was better known as "Mama" or "Nanny" to those closest to her and loved to bake and cook. She cherished spending time with her family, finding shells on the beach and loved to sew. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her son Jacob Mojarro.

Survivors include: husband, Ronald Davis, Sr.; children, Tina Mitchell and husband Worth Mitchell of Pinehurst, NC, Ron Davis and wife Karen of Clinton, Anthony Davis and wife Tara of Clinton and Gabriela Tew and husband Tim of Clinton; sister, Kitty Maness of Fayetteville; brother, Earl Toney and wife Becky of Florida; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the ICU nurses, staff, and Granddaughter Madison Davis of Sampson Regional Medical Center, for the excellent care given to our sweet mother.
