Clinton:

Paul Barefoot, 82, of Taylor’s Bridge Hwy., died Friday, March 24, 2023 at PAM Specialty Health Hospital in Rocky Mount.

A graveside service will be held 2PM Sunday, March 26, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Jeffery Barber officiating.

Paul was a native of Columbus County and the son of the late John W. and Margaret Fisher Barefoot.

He was retired from Lundy Packing Company, a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Gene and Joe Barefoot and a sister Bettie B. Burnette.  Paul  had many friends and was loved by his community.

He is survived by: brother, Carl B. Barefoot and wife Jean of Clinton; sisters-in-law, Judy Barefoot and Linda Barefoot; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friends and special caregivers Beverly and Terry Lane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 3949 Taylor’s Bridge Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328
