Ostel Alton Fann, 89, died Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, March 11 at the Matthews Family Cemetery with Rev. Chubby Reiber officiating. Friends will be received following the service. Mr. Fann was a native of Sampson County and the son of the late John Alton Fann and Tea Boston Carter Fann. He retired from Erwin Denim and was also a painter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda F. Goodrich, a brother, Tony Fann, and two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Christopher Jordan, special friend Elizabeth Jean Fann. Surviving are: a daughter, Darlene Bland of Clinton, granddaughters, April Jordan of Dunn, Nicole Bradshaw of Texas, six great-grandchildren, Nicholas Jordan, Christopher Jordan, Hailey Jordan, Matthew Jordan, all of Clinton, Avery Eversole and Jace Stark both of Texas and five great- great-grandchildren, Zoey Jordan, Bailee Jordan, Kensley Jordan, Greyson Jordan and Cayson Jordan; two nieces, Belinda Goodrich and Pam Rooks and a nephew, Alton Goodrich.
