Noah “Danker” Purvis Spell, 78, of 843 Tyndall Grove Road, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, January 1st at Tyndall Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Larry Barnhill officiating.  Interment will follow in the Tyndall/Spell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Danker, born April 2, 1944 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Noah Clifton Spell and Evelyn McLamb Spell.  He retired as a stonecutter for NC Marble and Granite and a member of Tyndall Grove PH Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William “Monk” Spell.

Survivors include; daughter, Veronica Darden; son, Chris Spell (Virginia); grandchildren, Elizabeth Darden, Esmeralda Neri, Nancy Neri, Raine Spell and Tapanga Spell; and sisters, Lexie Jackson (Thomas) and Ulanda Dale (Ronnie).
