Myra Gwynn Williams Johnson, 78, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 22nd at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in the fellowship hall with Rev. John Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Myra, born February 19, 1947, in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Pittman Williams and Willa Crae Naylor Williams.  She was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and was a bookkeeper in the grocery business.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leroy Johnson and brother Roy Glenn Williams.

Survivors include her children Doris Reed and husband Jeff of Sanford and Roy Wesley Johnson and wife Pandora of Smithfield, along with her grandchild Scott Tharrington and wife Natalie and 2 great grandchildren Zachary and Alen Tharrington.
