Mrs. Melrose Johnson Parker, 91, of 2351 Mt. Moriah Church Road, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Springbrook Nursing Center in Clayton, NC.
Funeral service will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, July 9th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Clinton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her son, Alan, at 2449 Mt. Moriah Church Road, Clinton.
Melrose, born April 1, 1931 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Benjamin Sloan Johnson and Sallie Irene Roberts Johnson. She was a beautician, farmer and homemaker. She was a member of Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Thomas Parker.
Survivors include; children, Margaret C. Dixon and husband Tom, Deborah C. Love and husband Lew, Joel Thomas Parker, Glenn Cooper Parker and wife Tammy, and Alan Johnson Parker and wife Jeanine; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, James Johnson and Don Johnson (Linda); and sisters-in-law, Esther P. Delbridge, Peggy M Parker and Linda M Parker.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church in Clinton, NC.
