Mary Aman Cosentino was born in Wayne County September 22, 1938, the oldest child of Paul Aman and Lillie Westbrook Aman. She entered into heavenly rest surrounded by her family and friends in Fayetteville North Carolina on October 6, 2024, thirteen days after her 86th birthday. She spent her formative years in the Sampson County community of Keener and was a 1957 graduate of Hobbton High School in Newton Grove North Carolina.
Following her graduation, she made her home in Raleigh, North Carolina, later returning to Sampson County working at the Clinton the Piggly Wiggly and finally residing in Erwin, Mary was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Lillie Aman; her infant brother Billy Ray Aman; her husbands Troy Lee Conn and Anthony Joseph Cossentino, and her stepdaughter Teresa Ortiz. Surviving and remembering the love she had for her family are Mollie Gibson of Raleigh, Melba Thompson of Clinton and Geraline Kay Kiger of Newton Grove. She is also survived by her stepdaughters Catrina Dowdy, Debbie Gutierrez, and Patsy Little. She is also survived by her special nephew Joey Kiger who provided great care and support for the past year. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with the children of her late husband, Tony, and her beloved dog, Sissy
Services for Mary will be held October 10, 2024 at 3:00 Carr Memorial Christian Church followed by internment in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Newton Grove, NC. Visitation will be held at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
