Marta Flores Melton Dambeck, 85, of Raleigh Rd., passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Hock Pavilion in Durham.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, March 2nd at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Brian Vaccaro officiating.
Marta, born July 14, 1938 in El Paso, Texas, was the daughter of the late Rafael Chavez Flores and Luz Marie Valverde. She was a respiratory therapist at Sampson Regional Medical Center and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was member of Lady Auxiliary, member of the VFW and a former Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Dixon Melton and Dr. Allyn Dambeck.
Survivors include: sons, Joseantonio Melton and wife Teresa of Nashville, TN and Charles “Dickie” Dixon Melton, Jr.; grandchildren, Kaleigh Renee Melton of San Antonio, Jared Melton (Erica) of Chesapeake, VA, Zane Melton of Roseboro, Eric Anthony Melton and wife Riella and Sean Patterson; great-grandchildren, Mykcolo Uranza and Lydia Patterson; and brother, Rafael Flores, Jr. of San Francisco.
