Marilyn Dennette Butler Cannady, 48, of 2109 Taylors Bridge Hwy., passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, October 30th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Honeycutt officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home of her mother-in-law, Sudie Cannady, at 2137 Taylors Bridge Hwy., Clinton.

Marilyn, born November 21, 1973 in Durham County, was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Butler, Sr., and the late Myrtle Faye Pearsall Butler.  She worked at Carlie C’s for years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers, Robert Franklin Butler, Jr. and Ronnie Allen Butler; nephew, Michael Andrew Butler; and father-in-law, Anthony Darrow Cannady.

Survivors include: husband, Nelson Cannady; daughter, Victoria Paige Cannady; son, Anthony Glenn Cannady; grandchildren, Maddox McCullough and Saylor Quinn; sister, Crystal Strickland (Junior); mother-in-law, Sudie H. Cannady; sisters-in-law, Penny Butler and Kimberly Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
