Maria Felix Baena Salazar de Turkey, Carolina del Norte, falleció el viernes 14 de Marzo de 2025 en el Hospital UNC en Chapel Hill, Carolina del Norte. Un servicio funerario para María se llevará a cabo el Jueves 20 de Marzo de 2025 a las 3 p.m. en el funeral de Crumpler-Honeycutt con entierro a continuación en el cementerio de la ciudad de Clinton. La familia recibirá amigos y familiares el Miércoles 19 de Marzo de 2025, de 5 p.m. a 9 p.m. en la funeraria Crumpler-Honeycutt. María nació el 18 de Mayo de 1964 en México, hija de Filiberto Baena y la difunta Francisca Salazar y fue precedida en la muerte por su hermano, Raúl, y su hermana, Claudia. Trabajó en la industria de procesamiento de carne con Smithfield Foods durante más de 20 años. Quedan para apreciar sus recuerdos su padre, Filiberto Baena, su prometido, Octavio Balderas-Vega, 5 hijos, Areli Demis (Melvin), Cinthya Demis (José), Francisco Meza (Gabriela), Jessica Hernandez (Luis) y Crystal Balderas. También deja a 12 nietos, Jay, Junior, Samuel, Chris, Jalen, Mia, Ethan, Andrew, Liam, Zander, Jael y Nahomi y sus hermanos: Beto (Antonia), Gabino (Alva), Cristina (Chin), Rolando, Roman, Ignacio (Tita), y numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos y amigos especiales a los que a las que amaba mucho. María era una mujer fiel de Dios, con una fe fuerte. Todos los que fueron bendecidos de conocerla podían ver esto en su vida diaria y su cuidado por su familia y amigos. 

 

 2 Timoteo 4: 7-8 "He peleado una buena batalla, he terminado mi curso, he mantenido la fe. De ahora en adelante, se pone para mí una corona de justicia, que el Señor, el juez justo, me dará en ese día; y no sólo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su aparición".

Maria Felix Baena Salazar of Turkey, NC passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

A funeral service for Maria will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 3 PM at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral with burial to follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 5 PM – 9 PM at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home. 

Maria was born May 18, 1964, in Mexico to Filiberto Baena and the late Francisca Salazar and was preceded in death by her brother, Raul and sister, Claudia.  She worked in the meat processing industry with Smithfield Foods for 20+ years.

Left to cherish her memories are her father, Filiberto Baena, her fiancé, Octavio Balderas-Vega, 5 children, Areli Demis (Melvin), Cinthya Demis (Jose), Francisco Meza (Gabriela), Jessica Hernadez (Luis), and Crystal Balderas. She also leaves 12 Grandchildren, Jay, Junior, Samuel, Chris, Jalen, Mia, Ethan, Andrew, Liam, Zander, Jael & Nahomi and her siblings: Beto (Antonia), Gabino (Alva), Cristina (Chin), Rolando, Roman, Ignacio (Tita), and numerous nieces & nephews and special friends who she loved dearly.

Maria was a faithful woman of God, with a strong faith.  All that were blessed to know her could see this in her daily life and her care for her family and friends.

2 Timothy 4: 7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.  Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
