Mrs. Margaret Herring Raynor, 89, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 at First Methodist Church with the Reverend Matt Seals and Rev. Francis Daniel officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior 2-3:00 P.M. at the church and at other times at the home of Nancy and Jeff Heath, 100 Coharie Drive, Clinton. Interment will follow the service in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Margaret, a native of Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Alexander Autry Herring and Lottie McLemore Herring. She was the widow of Dexter Raynor and was also preceded in death by her brother Bill Herring and son-in-law Ronnie Edward Wood. Margaret, worked as an insurance salesperson with Peterson Sampson Austin Insurance Agency. She was also a longtime member of First Methodist Church of Clinton.

Survivors are: daughters, Nancy Heath (Jeff), Suzanne Wood, grandchildren: Bo Heath (Meagan), Ashley Fuller, Will Heath (Kaitlin), Taylor Wood, great-grandchildren: Kinsley, Logan, Nancy Marie, Elizabeth.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Liberty Hospice and the staff at Mary Gran for their devotion and support.
