Margaret Britt Jackson King, 101, of 758 Margaret Road, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Rolling Ridge Assisted Living.

Graveside service will be held 2 PM, Friday, April 18th at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Ben Troublefield officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the grave and at other times at the home of Gloria Lockamy, 210 Lockamy Rd, Clinton NC 28328.

Margaret, born February 14, 1924 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late James Robert Britt and Mary Alice Bradshaw Britt.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Jackson and nine siblings.  Margaret was a farmer and homemaker and a member of Faison Baptist Church.  She was full of life, loved her family dearly and was always ready to go visit.   She cherished keeping up with her grand and great-grandchildren’s lives through the many photos she collected and kept over the years.  She lived a long, blessed life where she loved to share memories with family and friends and would even give lifetime advice whether you wanted to hear it or not.  The impact she had as the monarch of the family will be greatly missed

Survivors include: daughters, Gloria Lockamy of Clinton and Peggy Venters of Peachtree City, GA; grandchildren, Patricia Logino (Matt), Billie Jean Bass (Ronnie), Nina Thoman (Kevin), Cheryl Blackman (Steve), Lance Venters (Maddie), and Michelle Odom (Fred); great-grandchildren, Payton Parker,  Carson Bass, Jackson Weeks, Colby Weeks, Haiden Blackman, Zachary Thoman, Nate Thoman, Kelly Logino and Adelaide Logino.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rolling Ridge for all the love and care they provided.  Thanks also to PruittHealth Hospice for the excellent care provided at the end of her life.
