Margaret Ann Hobbs, 84, of 4750 Hobbton Hwy., passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Ridgewood Rehab and Living Center.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, December 23rd at Keener Methodist Church with Rev. Leanne Calhoun officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM – 7:30 PM, Thursday December 22nd at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Ann was born August 29, 1938 in Clifton Forge, VA.  She was the daughter of the late Frank Hunter Anderson, Sr. and Annie Margaret Carr Anderson.  She retired from Hobbton High as a Science Educator with 31 years of service.  She was a member of Keener Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hoyt Hobbs.

Survivors include; daughter, Maria Ann Hobbs and husband John Coram; grandsons, Alexander Paschall and Nicholas Paschall; son, Michael Hobbs and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Hannah Hobbs, Sarah Thurman and husband Tanner, Rebekah Hobbs and Ethan Hobbs; brother, Frank Hunter Anderson, Jr.; nephews, Frank Hunter Anderson III and Todd Anderson and wife Julie; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hatcher Ruth; decades long neighbors, Ricky and Becky Haslip; caretakers, Kay Thornton, Norma Wright, Judy Casey, and Lisa Cannady (deceased); numerous Hobbs extended family.
