Lillie M. Barber, 86, of 1683 Pine Ridge Road, Clinton was welcomed into her heavenly home on Saturday, December 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, December 17th at Mt. Vernon Missionary  Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Hairr officiating.  Interment will follow in the Barber Family Cemetery on Pine Ridge Road.  The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service at the church.

She was born on July 24, 1938, in Sampson County, to the late Jasper (Jap) Ottis Barber and Della Mae Tyndall Barber.

Lillie loved the Lord and it was evident by her passion to help others.  She was a lifelong member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Vicky Hairr Lucas (Zach), three sons, Timmy Hairr (June), Jeff Hairr (Christy) and Scott King.

Seven grandchildren, Jamie Lucas, Marsha Hairr, Adam Hairr (Lauren), Dylan & Christian Hairr, Collin King (Andrea) and Austin King (Julianna).

Four great grandchildren:  Brooklyn & Parker Hairr, Ryder Hairr, Gabe & Ruby King.

A sister, Gracie B. Moore (Henry) and brother, Jasper (Rusty) Barber.

Very special family friends, Sandra Bond, Austin Walker, Lauren Carwell, Madison Haley, Cecilia Gonzales and many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by grandsons, Jeremy & Justin Tyler Lucas, sisters and brothers-in-law:  Betsy B. & Hugh Keith; Dorothy (Dot) B. & Doug King; and sister-in-law Sharon B. Barber.

The family would like to thank her many friends and family and Liberty Hospice for their many acts of kindness and support.
