Leroy Johnson, 85, of 3919 Bonnettsville Road, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Funeral service will be held at 12 PM, Monday, July 15th at Elizabeth Baptist Church with Rev. John Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Leroy, born July 13, 1938 in Wake County, was the son of the late Floyd Samuel Johnson, Sr. and Lula Cates Johnson.  He was a manager in the grocery business and retired from Winn Dixie.  He was veteran of the US Air Force. 

Survivors include: wife, Myra Gwen Williams Johnson; daughter, Doris Reed (Jeff); son, Wesley Johnson (Pandora); grandchild, Scott Tharrington (Natalie); great-grandchildren, Zachary Tharrington and Alen Tharrington; siblings, David Johnson, J. W. Johnson (Faye), Phillip Johnson (Cindy), Kenneth Johnson (Brenda), Dolly Glidewell (B. R.), Mary Oliver (Linwood), Pete Johnson (Paulette); and Andrew Johnson.
