Julia Myers Vann Obituary

 

Julia Myers Vann, 88, of 199 Browns Church Road, Clinton, went to her heavenly home on Friday,  February 14th, 2025 at Southwood Nursing Center.

Born January 10, 1937, Julia was the daughter of the late Ether and Maybelle Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Vann, and a son, Tony Vann. Two brothers, James “Jim” Myers and Walter T. “Tom” Myers. Her four sisters, Sarah Evelyn Southerland, Lula Jackson, Nell Williamson, and Dorothy Barefoot. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Kelly A. Hobbs

She is survived by a son, Linwood “Bozie” Vann, of the home, and daughter, Kay V. Maynor of Clinton. A grandson, Neil Hobbs, and wife, Christy,  of Clinton. Her three great-grandchildren, Brianna Reaves of Greenville, and Lily and Henry Hobbs of Clinton.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special friends Ricky and Barbara Ricks, Ronnie and Marie Wheeler and Sharon Jernigan. 

Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM on Monday, February 17th at Colonial Heights Church, 1140 W Elizabeth Street., Clinton, NC, with Pastor Tyler Jernigan and Pastor Charles R. Jernigan officiating. The family will receive friends starting at 5:30 prior to the funeral.

Gestures of memorial can be made by giving potted flowers or plants, or by monetary donations to the Building Fund of Colonial Heights Church in Ms. Julia’s memory.

The family would like to thank Liberty Hospice for their compassionate and loving care that was given to their loved one during her illness.
