Judy Carol Thornton, 72, of, 3253 Old Warsaw Hwy., passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at WakeMed Cary Hospital.

Memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, November 26th at Clinton City Cemetery with Danny Westbrook officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 PM – 7 PM, Saturday, November 25th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home. 

Judy, born February 2, 1951 in Carrollton, GA, was the daughter of Lillian Eula Webb Hughes and Dan Hughes.  She was a beautician.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Diane Hollingsworth and Randall “Randy” Hyde. 

Survivors include: husband of 47 years, Jerry Thornton; children, Tommy Lee Hill and Sandra Thornton Febres (Pedro); grandchildren, Christopher Robert Hill (Christina),  Coty Lee Hill (Amber),  Sydney Marie Febres and Nicholas Chale Febres; great-grandchildren, Alexxis Nichole Carol Hill, Bentley Nicholas Hill and Elijah Brantley Medlin; sister, Melinda Fuller (Rus); nieces and nephews, Tammy Akers, Daniel Hollingsworth, Timothy Hyde, Tracey Stephenson, and Anthony Hyde; and 11 great nieces and nephews.
