Judy Ann Hobbs Simmons, 86, of 4641 Bass Lake Road, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at her home with her loving family by her side. 

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Monday, December 1st at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Hobbs officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 4 PM – 6 PM, Sunday, November 30th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

Judy, born May 2, 1939, in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Otis Judson Hobbs and Malvene Royal Hobbs.  She was a hairdresser for 66 years.  Judy was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Simmons, a son Kenneth Ray Simmons, and her brother, Thomas Dale Hobbs.

Survivors include: daughter, Donna Simmons Boone (Mike); daughter-in-law, Holly Ray Simmons; grandchildren, Dawn Boone Daughtry (Derek) and Dylan Ray Simmons; great grandchildren, Isabella Reese “Belle” Daughtry and Alley Ray Daughtry; step-grandsons, Ryan Burgess and Alston Burgess (Mary Michael); brother, Dwight Hobbs (Patsy); and host of nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1481 Fleet Cooper Road, Roseboro, NC  28382.
