Johnny Fulmer Patterson, 79, of 686 Dixie Rd., Clinton, Passed away, Friday, April 12, 2019 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, April 15 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, with Rev. John Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow the service at Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Johnny was born in 1940 in Sampson Co. and was the son of the late Bronzie Bruce Patterson and Eva Kate Sessoms Patterson Rouse. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald Bruce Patterson and Charles Henry Patterson and a stepbrother Bo Rouse. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and choir member. He was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1963-1965. He also worked and retired from Kelly Springfield in Fayetteville. Survivors are: his wife of 56 years, Hilda Faye Chestnutt Patterson; two sisters: Betty Mae Lilley of Pinetown, N.C. and Mary Jo Vanderzwalm (Richard) of Stedman, N.C. and one brother Lynwood (Nancy) Patterson of Stedman a stepsister Mirian Rouse Holland of Rose Hill, N.C. and a stepsister-in-law Judy Rouse of Rose Hill, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
